Adding Maps To Your Game Server (Half-Life 1/2 Mods)



What You Need:
  • FTP Client (Download)
  • FTP Information
  • Map(s) You Want To Install
Steps:
  1. Download and install your FTP client (I've linked to FileZilla).

  2. Connect to your Game Server through the FTP client (ask your Game Server Provider for the information)

  3. If the map you want to add is in an archive extract is keeping the directory structure. If it's just one file ending in ".bsp" that's normal.

  4. If the map is just one file that ends in ".bsp" upload it to the "\maps\" directory (replaced with your mod directory, ex: cstrike, dod). If the downloaded map has a bunch of folders ("sprites", "sounds", "resources" etc) upload all of those folders to the "\" directory and if you're prompted to overwrite anything click "yes".

  5. The map should now be installed - try changing to it!
